A British High <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Court decisions" ttm="court"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms> <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Court decisions" ttm="judge"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms> has ruled that Pringles are not a <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Potato" ttm="potato"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms> snack and therefore not subject to a 17.5% <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Taxation and taxes" ttm="tax"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms>.

The <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Court decisions" ttm="judge"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms>, <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Judges" ttm="justice"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms> Nicholas Warren, overruled a Value Added <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Taxation and taxes" ttm="tax"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms> (VAT) <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Courts" ttm="Tribunal"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms> decision that imposed the 17.5% <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Taxation and taxes" ttm="tax"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms> which is also applied on other <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Potato" ttm="potato"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms> products.

Pringles&#39; owner Procter &amp; Gamble had claimed at a ruling in May that Pringles do not feel, look, or taste like a crisp. <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Judges" ttm="justice"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms> Warren ruled that since Pringles are only 42% <MAIstroTerms><MAIstroTerm Name="Potato" ttm="potato"></MAIstroTerm></MAIstroTerms>, it is exempt from VAT.
